Bezweringen

Zet je telefoon uit. Haal je laptop uit het stopcontact. Sluit alle vensters op je innerlijke bureaublad. Kom terug in je lichaam. Onttrek jezelf aan het koor van meningen op sociale media. Niet zes muisklikken, maar zes fysieke handdrukken scheiden ons van de rest van de wereld. Nodig ze uit. Nodig de mensheid uit in deze ruimte. Ruimte zat. Laten we een diagnose stellen, een behandeltraject uitstippelen, onze kop uitzetten en dansen. In deze stem schuilt een lied dat gezongen wil worden. Als de wil tot genezing aanwezig is, is niets onmogelijk. In ‘Bezweringen’ verkent beweger/(klank)dichter sieger baljon de mogelijkheid van ‘politiek sjamanisme’ & een vernieuwde verhouding tot de toestand in de wereld.

Seasonal theatre cycle of 8 performances, made in accordance with the circumstances and psychological attitude that come with every specific season. Linked with pre-christian seasonal celebrations as well as anything else useful. First fully ripe performance in this cycle was the winter piece De Wilde Jacht.

De Wilde Jacht / Wild Hunt

Performance that searches for the shamanic roots of dutch/western european folklore, including the controversial ‘black pete’ (zwarte piet) tradition; an attempt to look deeper into that dark mirror of fear, weakness, greed and other possible demons of modern life to evoke a spirit of struggle for honest freedom. Let’s embrace winter.

The Wandering Jew
There’s a boy on the roof. There’s a dog that keeps on walking in circles. There’s no place to lie down. There’s a naked man on the streets of Athens. There’s a boy on the roof that wants to reconcile Cain with Abel. There’s a man on Dam square, yelling. There’s a world, tottering in it’s flight. There’s a wandering Jew, somewhere. There’s a seed to plant. There’s a boy on the roof, with no place to lie down. A hopeful mime monologue about the end of a world.

BROERRR
Theatre piece of 2 brothers connected by their love for poetry and music, the only difference is that one is a sedentary man who travels only in the books he reads, the words he writes; the other is a nomadic squatter hitchhiking to the other side of the world, running from love, longing for truth. Dutch spoken though, sorry guys.

‘Nomaden scheppen niets en honkvasten zijn te braaf,’ schrijft Georges Roditi. ‘Voor een groot oeuvre heb je een avonturier nodig die thuisblijft,’ aan die woorden klemt de schrijver zich jarenlang vast. Als zijn kleine broer de nomade is, dan is hij de honkvaste avonturier. Sommige dingen blijven altijd hetzelfde nietwaar, ook als je broer op de vlucht voor de liefde platzak in Pakistan strandt, ook als de liefde dichterbij komt en wonden slaat. Toch? In Broerrr komen deze broers, theatermaker/dichter sieger baljon en schrijver/singersongwriter Krijn Peter Hesselink, door verschil in temperament op ramkoers te liggen. Bij de confrontatie komt een wild kolkende stroom verhalen, liedjes en gedichten vrij. Contrabassist Bas Kisjes en multi-instrumentalist Sahand Sahebdivani helpen er een muzikaal feestje van te maken.
